Apparently General Conference weekend is THE weekend for updating blogs! It's amazing how much more time we seem to have when we are stuck in the house on Saturday and Sunday watching conference. Well, stuck isn't the right word. I absolutely love conference! And with this freezing Rexburg weather, there is nothing I would rather be doing than sitting in my PJ's, curled up in a blanket, and watching conference. I always feel so uplifted and grateful for the things I have and for a loving Heavenly Father who guides me through the words of his Prophet and Apostles on the Earth. Fabulous weekend!
What else have we been up to? Brandon is finally back from his trip to Maryland! I took him to the airport Wednesday afternoon and got to spend a few hours with Taci! Gosh I love that girl! We went grocery shopping at WinCo and then Fred Meyer and then Wal-Mart! I think we eventually got everything we both needed. So while Brandon was gone life was miserable! It was the first time we have been apart where I have been alone and I am such a baby! Even in our little hallway apartment I heard "noises" all night long and hardly slept. But now he is back and I love it. His interview went well and hopefully we will hear something by the end of the month.
Last night we had a girl's night while the guys went to the Priesthood Session of conference! Rachael and Hilary came over and we had so much fun! It's amazing the things girls almost always get on the topic of....haha. The guys came back and we decided we weren't done with our conversations so we kicked them right back out! It was hilarious. Super fun night! Maybe one day I will find Brandon's camera and always keep it out so I can document these very occasions. One day...
School is still crazy! I am working 12 hours a week at my secretary job and about 10 hours tutoring. Tutoring has been a lot harder than I thought it would be but I am enjoying keeping up on one of the few topics of accounting I have grown to love. Brandon is still trying to catch up on everything he missed, which is a lot! Luckily, Brandon Lyons (of Brandon and Hilary Lyons who used to live in this very apartment and have the cutest baby boy that I always go crazy over) is in one of his classes and recorded an audio file of the entire class Brandon missed! Which happened to be a review day for the test! How cool is that?! They are such great friends!
Again, a longer post than I intended. Happy October!
