Two Down...

Two to go! Countdowns, that is. First one down was New York! New York was AWESOME. It is definitely a place everyone should see once, well at least once! I am so incredibly grateful to Valerie for taking me. (She is Brandon's neighbor, and the SWEETEST person I've ever met. SO loving and generous and amazing!) After we got there, we started with breakfast at Sarabeth's Kitchen. (http://www.sarabeth.com/) It is one of Oprah's favorite places. Just fyi. It was delicious! Needless to say, the day was off to a great start! We rode on the subway, took a couple of cab rides (which I thought I was going to die during), and just saw/did a lot! Just to mention a few....
  • Central Park
  • Rockefeller Center
  • Empire State Building
  • Chrysler Building
  • FAO Shwartz - this was so so so much fun! I only wish I could have gone while I was a kid!
  • Trump Tower
  • Walked all down 5th Ave.
  • Times Square
  • Broadway
  • Staten Island Ferry - which was our way of seeing the Statue of Liberty
I know, it really wasn't a few. But it was so much fun! But my favorite part was eating at Francois Chocolate Bar!! It was Francois Payard's place. (http://www.payard.com/fcbar.aspx) Yes, it was as good as it sounds! This is what I got.

An absolutely delectable layered mousse cake pastry thingy. And then a Dark Hot Chocolate to go with it. It literally tasted like I was drinking straight from a chocolate fountain! Heaven!

So in summary, great day! And I really don't think I can ever thank Valerie enough for taking me. Wow.

And the second one down is days to Colorado! I'm here! haha. It looks like I will be heading out to Utah in a week, and then up to Idaho a day or two following. It has been really great being home, although I really miss Maryland! I had so much fun with Brandon's family, getting to know them better and spending time with them. I got really used to it! And being away from Brandon for almost 3 weeks isn't the most fun thing ever. Not to mention that since I have left, the temperature has hit 90! I swear, cold weather just follows me. haha. But I am really excited to be home for more than a week. And Katie and Tod, and possibly Ryan, are coming out this next weekend! It will be a blast!
