We finally got Mace a bouncer! Although it's not actually a bouncer. It is an "Infant-to-Toddler Rocker". LOVE IT. It is just really nice to have somewhere to put him other than the floor. He wasn't sure about it at first (picture 1) but then when I added the toy bar, he was sold! Have I mentioned before how much I love Amazon?
I hate to admit it, but his first Easter was preeeeeetty lame. I remember having so many grandiose plans for it. Did any of them happen? Of course not. Sigh. It's as if all I ever have are intentions. (Remember how I 'thought' about taking a picture of him with all his Uncles? Exactly.) Oh well. To be fair, we went to Wal-Mart the day before and I wanted to get some Easter candy and stuff but those 2 SMALL aisles were a complete zoo! We tried but it was totally not worth it. Luckily he did have two super cute Easter outfits that his Grandma-ma (is that how it's supposed to be spelled?) Amy. Aka my mom. He looked super cute in both.
So our Easter started out....less than ideal. Quite possibly one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life. It started out by getting to church late. Usually not a biggie, but with Priesthood/Relief Society first, not so easy to sneak it. Luckily I found a spot on an end, near the back. Mace started fussing, even through his pacifier. The girl teaching had such a soft voice so I got up to rock him in the back of the room. Then it happened. My foot got caught on a strap of the diaper bag causing me to step, hop, lose my shoe, and almost fall flat on my face. Good news, I did NOT drop Mr. Chunk. Boy was it close. So instead of just staying in the back, I just walked out. I almost cried. Mace was hungry but everything was back in the room and I was not going back in. So I had to deal with an angry child for 45 minutes until it ended and then made Brandon go in and get everything. For the rest of the semester I will be the girl who almost dropped her child in Relief Society.
But, thanks to Taci and Jacob Zollinger, we had a tremendous Easter evening. Food and fun with friends. Perfect. Taci also had some little things for Mace. She gave him (well, me) some cute sports wall vinyl decals to put in his room. Haha. It's funny because I told her I wasn't planning on decorating his room and she decided that wouldn't do. She also said she almost did an Easter basket for him because she knew I wouldn't. Oh how well you know me Tace. It is a good thing other people take such an interest in my son and making his life complete. :)
Oh and Mace received his first Easter card! Grandma & Granddad (aka Brandon's parents) sent him a super cute one and Brandon's dad wrote him a really cute/sweet message. I love how little ones just seem to make men melt.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter!

Soo...just to make you feel better, I've done that before...you know, trip over your bag and almost drop your son! It's definitely embarrassing, but I'm sure there are other people who have done the exact same thing so you shouldn't feel that bad!
