A Post In The Making

This is Mason's 2 month post. Yes, I do realize that he is just a few weeks away from being 3 months old. I did actually write this post a few weeks ago but it was that Friday night when blogger was down and I didn't realize it didn't save any of it. So I guess out of protest I didn't blog for a while. Take that blogger! Haha. Annnyways. Here is his 2 month picture!

Yes, I know he is a complete chunk! I love his chubby-wubby cheeks. It's amazing how much he as grown in a month! (See his 1 month picture here. It's insane)

And now for the usual stats....
  • 13 lbs and 1 oz
  • 23.5 inches
  • Is now a thumb sucker - and please don't feel the need to share your thoughts about how terrible it is to let your child become a thumb sucker. He doesn't do it all the time, just to put himself to sleep. And FYI, I would rather have him be able to do that than have to go into his room 10 times a night to stick his pacifier in his mouth. He has a good mix of both. (Not that I need to explain our parenting methods to anyone)
  • He is a pretty terrific night sleeper! The most we have gotten is like 8 1/2 hours but that is by no means the norm. Usually he does a stretch of about 5-7 hours and then eats and goes back to sleep again for 3 or 4.
  • Is a TERRIBLE napper. Well, at least when it's just me and him. When Daddy is home, he is awesome.
  • Starting to talk a lot! The other night he was laying on a pillow on my lap and just talked to me for 10-15 min. It was quite the conversation.
  • Is finally starting to grab toys! (I probably pushed that skill on him a bit. Whoops)
  • LOVES getting his diaper changed. Which has also translated to just loving being on the changing table. It really makes you forget you're changing a poopy diaper when you see his giant grins. Happiest times of his day. BY FAR.
  • Doesn't roll, but can rotate a full 360' on the floor. It's a weeeee bit ridiculous. We put him in his bed normal ways and we come back to this:
or worse! We can't leave him anywhere. He just loves to kick those little chubby legs.

I think that's a good list for now. He is so much fun and is such a happy boy. Really. It is so easy to get a picture of him smiling.
Oh and we finally got him a real crib! The weight limit on the bassinet part of his pack n' play is 15 lbs so we didn't really have a choice. We really didn't intend on him surpassing the weight limit so fast! Oh well. It should be getting here next week so I will put pictures up when it's good and assembled. I'm excited for it. We got a great deal on it at.....can you guess? Amazon of course! About $80 cheaper than at Target. Woot. Woot.

And just some more pictures in case any of you forgot how cute he is....
