I am a person who thrives on feedback. Well actually I need feedback. I need to feel validated in the things that I do. I'm weird, I know. Anyways, I have always really wanted to be one of those people who blogs a question and people actually answer! So we're going to try that. And yes, this is a prego question but I still want input! Chances are even if you've never been pregnant, you know someone who has!
Did anyone have their water break? I know only about 15% of women have theirs break not at the hospital, but I'm just curious. And was it a big gush or a little trickle? How did you know? (If it wasn't a big gush, obv) I just keep freaking out like mine is going to break and I am going to have no idea! So lets help validate me people! :)

mine broke! I felt like I had to go to the bathroom and was on my way when a gush came out. I thought maybe I had peed my pants but then I realized that I am pretty sure I would have had control of it before that much came out haha. I called my mom cuz I was freaking out and didn't know either, she said it probably broke, then I called the dr and he said come in if any more came out. So I started getting ready to go just in case, and this sounds gross but I had to stand over a towel because it just kept randomly coming out...so if that is how it is for most people (which it might not be) and it just keeps coming out randomly with no control, I think you'll know because you just don't pee that much out! :o)
My was broken both times at the hospital...but my cousin's broke at home and it was just a little trickle. She said the way she knew her water broke was because it kept coming...and I can attest to that statement. Even when mine was broken, it kept coming...so I'm thinking if your water breaks you'll know it...and even if you aren't sure, you can always go in and be checked just in case. I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it...you'll be fine!
The doctor broke my water at the hospital all 3 times. And it's not weird to need validation- I think we all crave that ; )
Molly- My water broke at home when I was taking a nap. Since I was laying down it felt like a little trickle, but as soon as I got up to go to the bathroom is was still coming pretty fast (not a gushing though). In the car all the way to the hospital (the mere 2 minutes or so ;o) nothing came out but as soon as I stepped into the hosptial it really started to gush...kind of embarrassing with all the people in the waiting area but hey, they were in the preggo unit so I'm sure they understood. I really had a TON of fluid that trickled out for hours (really), but some women dont have as much as others. Anyway, long story, but hope that helps. I'm pretty sure you will notice it and dont worry too much about it. Even if you go for a few hours without knowing, it's really no big deal. You have a whole 24 hours before it is a concern. Only 2 more days! Good luck!
I never heard anything about my water, not with either girl! So who knows?!
Ok a little late but here you go...Mine did not break on it's own with Michael, but it broke with Logan it was a trickle...I thought I had peed myself and couldn't figure out why because I had just peed! LOL! I stepped in the bathtub and called for James, then off to the hopsital we went. I sat on beach towels in the car.
